Once PackMin is configured with all your products and recipies, it can automatically create work orders for you based on what needs to be made (using minimum stock levels and taking into account open orders).

Because PackMin understands multi stage recipies, it properly handles the common situation where you need to make a big batch of one product which then goes into multiple other products down the line.  There can be an unlimited number of steps in a recipe chain and the system will automatically combine work orders for the same output item.

So, for example, if you were producing sausages, and you needed 10 cartons of thin BBQ and 12 cartons of thick BBQ sausages.  The system would know that that meant that you had to produce 800Kg of the emulsion that goes into both sausages.  And it does this automatically!
