One of the complexities with food manufacturing is that if anything goes wrong you need to be able to recall a product as quickly and easily as possible.

Because of the tracking of product batches that PackMin does, finding out what you need to recall is as easy as choosing the problem product and the batch (usually the packed on date).  The system will generate a report showing all the products that were made using the problem product (and there can be multiple levels of that). The report shows the name of the customer, how much they bought, and their details including phone number.

Now hopefully you will never need to do an actual recall, but it makes it so much easier for when the inspector comes.
